Esther G. Cutrone's Obituary
Esther G. (Guinto) Cutrone, 94, of Syracuse, passed away Monday at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse and attended North High School. Esther was employed with the Syracuse City School District at Grant Junior High School and Porter School for 23 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Brigid & St. Joseph Church. She was predeceased by five sisters, Pauline Canestrare, Genevieve Canestrare, Frances DeMartino, Sarah Hillenbrand and Grace McConkey. Esther is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Frank L. Cutrone; daughter, Sandra C. Baker of Syracuse; son, Joseph N. (Sandra) Cutrone, Sr. of Syracuse; two grandchildren, Joseph N. (Paula) Cutrone, Jr. and Kara Marie Cutrone; six brothers and sisters, Patsy Guinto of Syracuse, Joseph Guinto of Syracuse, Angela (Louis) Romano of Syracuse, Anthony Guinto of Oklahoma, Nicoletta (Fred) Schimpff of Syracuse and Rosemary (Charles Perolla) Shaver of Syracuse; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, Dewitt. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Esther's memory may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088.
