Esther J. Matochik's Obituary
Esther J. Matochik, 94, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at Elderwood Nursing Home on Thursday, April 12, 2018. Born in Gouverneur, NY, daughter to the late Harold and Ethel Thompson, Esther enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially at her cottage on the St. Lawrence River.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph G. Matochik (1995), and her brother, Carl Thompson.
Esther is survived by her two sons, Thomas L. (Joan) Matochik and Joel P. (Mary) Matochik; four grandchildren, Mary Kay and Francis Pilchesky, Alana (Peter) Stoyas, and Cheryl Matochik; two great-grandchildren, Ariana and Xander Stoyas along with three nieces: Brenda (Bob) Allen, Sandra Thompson and Linda (Bruce) Owen and a nephew John Thompson.
A funeral mass in celebration of Esther’s life will take place at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero, NY on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 10:00 A.M.
