Ethelina "Tiny" (Tucci) Leone's Obituary
Ethelina “Tiny” (Tucci) Leone, 92, was reunited with "her" Tony and all her loved ones on Friday July 22, 2022 she was assisted on her journey with the Angels at Frances House, her family and dear friends on her beloved North Side.
Born on April 10, 1930, Tiny was the most loving and dedicated daughter, mother, aunt, and friend. Her love has no end. She graduated from North High School and worked as school secretary at her alma mater for 30 years at Grant Middle School. Tiny also had a hidden talent which her family and friends loved and will truly miss. She believed that you had to work as hard at saving your money as you do earning it. She mastered a method for shopping that always got her the best prices. Whenever anyone needed something, they would call Tiny. Soon there would be a shopping bag at the door. There were often surprise bags left as well. Just one of magical ways she showed her love.
She loved to dance with Tony, many times winning trophies, Stella Maris Retreats, being anywhere with family and friends and of course her sweets and treats. She was a member of St. Therese Society at OLP for many years.
Tiny was predeceased by her husband, Anthony G. Leone; her parents, Samuel and Grace Tucci; in-laws, Pietro and Camilla Leone; siblings, Mary Cesta, Lucy Greco, Rueben Tucci, and Samuel Tucci, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Marie (Jim) Leone Pampinella; brother-in-law, Peter and Angela (Colagiovanni) Leone; many loving nieces, nephews, godchildren, friends, Marie’s friends that became her other children, best friend for over 80 years, Felice Carbona and her new best friend, Debbie Waldron.
We would like to thank the staff at St Joseph’s Hospital and Francis House for their kind, loving, compassionate care and special angels Jean Conte Mallaro, and Maria Garafolo.
