Evelyn M. "Evie" Hawa's Obituary
Evelyn M. "Evie" Hawa, 58, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday at home after a short illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse and was very involved with St. Elias Church over the years. Evie was a caregiver to many people and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her father, Alexander Hawa in 1999. Evie is survived by her mother, Rose Hawa; grandmother, Eveline Abdo; siblings, Nimer (Lori) Hawa of Liverpool, Yvonne (Nick) Abdo of Dewitt and Karen (Tony) Caporizzo of Liverpool; several nieces, nephews, cousins, two great-nieces and her dog, Toby. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am in St. Elias Church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
