Evelyn M. (MacKenzie) Polzin's Obituary
Evelyn M. (MacKenzie) Polzin, 94, of Jamesville, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cortland, NY, daughter of the late Alexander and Jessie (Freeman) MacKenzie. Evelyn was very active at The Nottingham where she resided, and loved by the staff and residents as well. She enjoyed knitting, and spending time with her grandchildren, and their many activities.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edmund R. Polzin in 2002.
Evelyn is survived by 3 daughters, Joan P. (Peter) DeSilvia of Syracuse, Joyce A. (Eric) Will of Manlius, and M. Christine (William) Mann of Cicero; her son, Anthony J. Polzin of Baldwinsville; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 8:45 – 10:45 am at Holy Cross Church, 4112 E. Genesee St., DeWitt, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Evelyn’s life at 11:00 am. Private entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt.
