F. (Joseph) Liquori's Obituary
F. Joseph (Joe) Liquori, 88, of North Syracuse, died Monday, December 7, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Born in Syracuse, NY on September 10, 1927, he was the son of the late Joseph R. and Rose (Giocondo) Liquori. Joseph was raised in Syracuse’s Eastwood section and graduated from Eastwood High School. Subsequently, Joe graduated from Le Moyne College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, and shortly after, he served in WWII. After the war ended, Joe began his career as a food/consumer goods salesman. Later he trained in industrial sales, spending the second half of his career as an industrial salesman. In 1956, Joseph married Therese M. Ryan and settled in North Syracuse to raise a family.
Joe was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church. He was an avid handball player for many years and enjoyed taking vigorous daily one-hour walks later in life. He and his wife loved making their annual trips to Florida. His family best remembers him as a loving husband and father, and as a down-to-earth, easy-to-get-to-know person with a good sense of humor. A hard worker with various jobs well into his eighties, Joe embraced an active life.
He was predeceased by his sister, Ethel Liquori.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Therese Liquori; three daughters, Lisa Liquori and husband Thomas McIndoe of Clay, NY, Andra Liquori and husband Ian Kilfoil of Phoenix, NY, and Donna Perri and partner Kenneth Kirsch of Fort Myers, FL.
