Fanny (Cerreto) Mannara's Obituary
Fanny M. Mannara, 90, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego, NY. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Cichello) Cerreto. Fanny was a homemaker and worked in the Syracuse City School District later in life. She was very proud of her Italian Heritage and loved everything Italian. Fanny also loved to cook for family and friends and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Mannara in 2005; her brother, Frank Cerreto, and her sister, Sina Mercurio.
Fanny is survived by her children, Rosanna (Mark) Darby of Ohio, Theresa Morgan of Jamesville, Fred (Susan) Mannara of Florida, and Joanne Mannara (Renee Crimmins) of Oswego; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 9:00 – 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Fanny’s life at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery.
