Fay (Furfaro) Indivero's Obituary
Fay (Furfaro) Indivero passed from physical life on Sunday, August 20, 2023, while a resident patient at The Cunningham at Loretto.
Fay was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Carrino) Furfaro, and a life resident of CNY and North Syracuse. Fay was especially proud of her children, grandchildren, and “school” grandchildren at St. Rose of Lima School. She was known as “Grandma Fay” by the students, parents, teachers, and staff at the school. Fay acquired her nickname by volunteering as a cafeteria staff worker dedicating and donating her time selling ice cream to the students during lunchtime. Along with her personal accomplishments over 99 years, she will be remembered most as a dedicated, supportive, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Fay was predeceased by her husband, Anthony S. “Tony” Indivero and her daughter Annette. She is survived by her daughter, Julie (Jeffrey) Spenard. Her sons are Anthony Jr., Joseph W. (Tonya Wells), and Patrick (Judy Turner). She has seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her grandsons are Jeffrey, Joshua, Robert Spenard and Chad, Derrick, and Tyler Indivero. Her granddaughter is Madison Indivero.
Fay’s children, family, loved ones, and friends have found peace, faith, and comfort knowing she has returned to our God, Creator, and Heavenly Father. Well done good and faithful servant (Mt. 25:21).
A calling hour will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 11:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M., followed by a funeral service in celebration of Fay’s life at 12:45 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY 13212. Fay will be laid to rest beside her husband in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
