Felix L. DeMott's Obituary
Felix L. DeMott, 80, of North Syracuse, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Elmira, NY, son of the late Louis and Caroline (Antuzzi) DeMott. Felix served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 – 1958. He retired from Crouse Hinds after 35 years of dedicated service. He also worked at Du-Right Pest Control and Ehrlich Pest Control. Felix was an avid SU fan, and was a football season ticket holder for many years. He loved spending time with his family, and will be truly missed.
Felix is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Josephine “Jo” (Tassone) DeMott; three children, Catherine (Michael) Modugno of Michigan, Christopher DeMott of North Syracuse, and Mark DeMott of North Syracuse; two grandchildren, Michael and Mario Modugno; eight siblings, Dolores DeMott of Elmira, NY. Philip Ponzi of Horseheads, NY, Louis DeMott of Norwich, NY, Thomas DeMott of Pleasanton, CA, Mary Jane Dale of Bedford, MA, Anne DeMott of Elmira, NY, Michael DeMott of Frisco, TX, and Richard DeMott of Elmira, NY; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Felix’s life at 10:00 am in St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
