Flora LoSurdo's Obituary
Flora was born to Gaetano and Eleonora Aloi and raised in Spadafora, Sicily until her immigration to Syracuse in 1954. She worked for many years at Learbury's, Julius Resnick Pocketbooks and General Electric, retiring from Learbury's in 1983. A devout Roman Catholic who prayed the Rosary daily, Flora was best known as an incredible cook, baker, seamstress and gardener-but her most cherished title was "Nonna".
Greeting her in Heaven are her husband, Frank LoSurdo, daughter, Nina L. Sacco and loyal cat, Andrew. Left to cherish her memory are daughters (sons-in-law), Josephine (Joseph) Crisafulli, Baldwinsville; Eleanor (Paul) LoSurdo-Clines, Omaha, NE; nine grandchildren (spouses), Joseph, Franc-Antonio and Matthew Crisafulli, New York, NY; Mary Joy (nee' Crisafulli) (Thomas) Bernard, Nutley, NJ; Margie (nee' Sacco) (Mathew) Katzke, Phoenix, AZ; David M. Sacco, Los Angeles, CA; Robert, Christopher and Paulie Clines, Omaha, NE; one great-grandchild, Nina Katzke, Phoenix, AZ; sisters-in-law, Marie LoSurdo, Nunziata Aloi, Syracuse; cousin, Carmella (Millie) Aloi, Syracuse; many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 8:30 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.)
