Florence (Nappa) Raite's Obituary
Florence Raite, 90, passed away Saturday at Menorah Park. She was born on March 14, 1925 in Syracuse, NY to Michael and Carmella (Minotti) Nappa. Florence was employed by Remington Rand and Hall & McChesney for many years.
Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Salvatore “Sam” Raite in 2003 and four siblings, Anthony, Virginia, Robert and Dominick.
Florence is survived by her children, James (Christine) Raite, Dennis (Colleen) Raite and Sandy (Ted) Seibt; her grandchildren, Danielle Raite, Emily Raite, Rev. Christopher Seibt and Jacqueline (Kevin) Weinheimer, along with many nieces and nephews and long-time friend, Jennie Seibt.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 am on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am at St. Daniel’s Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Florence’s memory may be made to Menorah Park, 4101 E. Genesee St., Syracuse, NY 13214.
