Frances (Morga) Aiello's Obituary
Frances (Morga) Aiello, 95, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Stephen and Maryanne (Satalino) Morga and was one of seven children. She was a 1937 graduate of North High school; she was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Louis A. Aiello in 1991. Together they were co-owners of Aiello Floor and Wall Covering for thirty years; she was also employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Health Center. Frances was a dedicated lifelong Catholic whose faith was cultivated by her immigrant parents; she was a faithful lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Church, actively involved with the Mother’s Club, Altar Rosary Society, Parish Food Pantry and the Martinettes. During her lifetime she was an accomplished seamstress, and extremely skilled in all other fine needle crafts.
Frances’ family would like to thank all of her caregivers especially Patti Smola, Sue Demas, Cindy Rioux, Brenda Mahar and Kate Williams. They are also appreciative of the staff from St. Camillus, Franciscan Care and the Medical Registry.
Frances is survived by her four children, Caroline (John) Wilson of Liverpool, Rev. Louis F. Aiello of Fayetteville, Mary (Chet) Wisniewski of Liverpool and Steven (Lori) Aiello of Fayetteville; six grandchildren, Christina (Pete) Heacox, Matthew Wisniewski, Daniel Wilson, Steven, Elizabeth and Thomas Aiello; two sisters, Josephine Ciero of Syracuse and Mary (Joseph) Sacco of Phoenix, AZ, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Frances’ life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Church. Family and friends may call Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Private burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt.
Contributions in lieu of flowers, may be made to St. John the Baptist Church, 406 Court Street, Syracuse, NY 13208 OR St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center.
