Frances (Buczakowski) Bova's Obituary
Frances (Buczakowski) Bova, 97, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at Iroquois Nursing Home. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Valentine and Bertha (Slovina) Buczakowski. Frances was employed with the Syracuse City School District for 30 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 1650 and Madonna Assunta Society.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jacob Bova in 1989; her son, Phillip J. Bova; seven brothers and sisters.
Frances is survived by her son, Gary (Susan) Bova of Syracuse; her daughter-in-law, Diane Bova of Syracuse; five grandchildren, Phil Bova, Adam (Kim) Bova, Nick (Hayley) Bova, Marie Bova, and Michael Bova; four great-grandchildren, Vinnie, Ryan, Trey, and Jordan; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service in celebration of Frances’ life at Noon in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
