Frances M. (Rayo) D'Agostino's Obituary
Frances M. (Rayo) D’Agostino, 96, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Central Park Nursing & Rehab Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Marie (Lamanna) and Frank Rayo, Frances was a graduate of Eastwood High School. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Altar Rosary Society. Frances was a farmer, and enjoyed gardening, reading, and baking. Most of all, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and housewife. She loved being with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Frances was predeceased by her husband, Andrew, in 2010; 4 brothers, Mike, Joseph, Peter, and John Rayo; and 2 sisters, Natalie Sands, and Angela Martyns.
Frances is survived by her 3 children, Annemarie (Thomas) Field, Anthony D’Agostino, and Jeanne (John) Barnello; 2 grandchildren, Andrew Field, and Jessica (David) Wieczorek; 2 great-grandchildren, Abigail, and Cameron Field; siblings, Sr. Mary Catherine Rayo, Frank (Kathleen) Rayo, Rosemary (Herbert) Brodt, and Robert (Theresa) Rayo; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 8:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of Frances’ life at 9:00 am in Blessed Sacrament Church, 3127 James St., Syracuse. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY 13212.
