Frances (Borek) Fedrizzi's Obituary
Frances (Borek) Fedrizzi, 78, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, September 20, 2018 with her loving and devoted husband by her side. Born in Syracuse, NY she was a lifelong resident of CNY. Frances graduated from Cathedral High School in 1957. Prior to retirement, she worked at Syracuse University for 21 years.
Frances will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She lived for her family and enjoyed spending time watching her children and grandchildren play a variety of sports. Frances was an avid SU and NY Yankee fan. In addition to sports, she loved to travel across the US and abroad. Her hobbies included bowling, baking and gardening; she was also a skilled seamstress. Frances volunteered at the North Area Meals on Wheels for more than 15 years.
Frances was predeceased by her father Richard, her mother Helen and brother Leonard.
Surviving are her loving husband of 56 years, Carl Fedrizzi; her children, Jeanine Capone of Liverpool, NY., Richard (Michelle) Fedrizzi of Las Vegas, NV., Christine (Dan) McClelland of Oswego, Barbara (Gerald) Day of Vernon, NY and Carol Fedrizzi (Matt Bullock) of Syracuse, NY; along with ten loving grandchildren; two brothers, Greg (Roberta) Borek and Richard (Lori) Borek; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Frances’ life will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, September 24, 2018 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to North Area Meals on Wheels, 413 Church St., North Syracuse, NY 13212.
