Frances (Catalanotte) Fiorenza's Obituary
The family of Frances (Catalanotte) Fiorenza announces that she peacefully passed away on July 1, 2018 at the age of 95. After a lifetime of medical challenges, she is now pain free and soaring with God’s heavenly angels, including her Mom and five sisters who were so important throughout her life.
She is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Larry C. Fiorenza in 2007; siblings, John (Anne) Calley, Frank (Fran) Calley, Catherine Greco, Nita (Benny) Mollura, Mary (Floyd) Bombardo, Angie (Harvey) Fields and Margaret (Anthony) Bombardo.
Frances is survived by her three children, Larry Fiorenza of Florida, David Fiorenza of Wisconsin and Diane Wood of Syracuse; three grandchildren, Laura and Larry Fiorenza of Syracuse, and David (Anna) Wood of CT; three great-grandchildren, Aleksey and Annalise Fiorenza of Syracuse and Parker Wood of CT; her sister, Rose C. Toscano; several nieces and nephews.
Frances enjoyed the simple pleasures of life including reading, spending time with family and friends, cooking up batches of her infamous meatballs, and playing some fierce games of Scrabble and Hollywood Rummy. She was blessed to have a lifetime of love and support from her many nieces and nephews on the Catalanotte and Fiorenza sides of the family, and special thanks to her niece, Rose (Bombardo) May, who gave endless hours of care and comfort.
Frances was a woman with the gentlest soul who could leave an indelible smile on the hearts of all those who knew her. Forever loved…never forgotten…forever missed.
