Frances V. (Milazzo) Grenga's Obituary
Frances V. (Milazzo) Grenga, 93, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2022. She was born in Syracuse, the eldest child of seven to Santo and Ida (Vecchio) Milazzo. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, her family meant everything to her.
She is predeceased by her infant son, Louis A. Grenga, Jr., and her husband of 70 years, Louis A. Grenga in 2020; siblings, Stephen, Concetta, Matthew, and Joseph Milazzo, Rose Mary Gallo and Fanny Calogero.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Michele (Anthony) Chiodo; sons, David (Antoniette) and Louis (Jane) Grenga; grandchildren, Karri, Michael, Nicole, Marion, Samantha, Riley, Carly and Bailey; and 12 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and in-laws.
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Oana Manta for her care and compassion at Crouse Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 12:45 – 1:45 pm at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Frances’ life at 2:00 pm.
Entombment will follow in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum.
