Frances "Fran" (Hodge) Stoys' Obituary
Beloved matriarch Frances “Fran” (Hodge) Stoys was welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord on November 5, 2021. Fran was born July 13, 1924 in Watertown, NY. She is predeceased by her parents, Wesley and Leona Hodge, her husband George, and children, Patricia, Richard and George Jr.
Fran worked as a secretary at Perfetto and Whalen Construction Co. in Gouverneur, NY until she retired and moved to Florida. She returned to Central New York in 2000. Fran lived a long and healthy life to the age of 97. Smart, well-dressed, and sharp-witted, Fran loved good food and reminisced often of her travels abroad. She loved being out in the sunshine, going for a walk and watching the boats on the Seneca River. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her smile, laugh, and loving presence will be missed dearly.
Fran is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Stoys-Orzel (Dennis), grandchildren: Zachary Papaleoni (Stephanie), Krysta VanRanst (Grant), along with 5 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Kindred Home Care and Hospice for the love and care they bestowed upon our beautiful Matriarch.
Burial will be private for family as per her wishes. May her memory be eternal.
