Frances "Fran" Marciano's Obituary
Frances "Fran" Marciano, 78, of Cicero, NY, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in her home. Fran was born the second oldest of five siblings. She graduated from St. Lucy's in 1961. After a short time with the telephone company, Fran volunteered with the Peace Corps for two years in Pohnpei, Micronesia. Upon returning to the United States, she was employed by the U.S. government as an administrative assistant in Tacoma, Washington, El Paso, Texas, Germany, and finally, Hampton, Virginia, where she lived most of her life. After retiring from the government, Fran returned to central New York in 2000. Fran enjoyed reading, going to the movies, and volunteering with Meals on Wheels.
Fran is predeceased by her parents, Philip, and Carmella (Fidele) Marciano, and her sister, MaryJane Mooney.
She is survived by her sisters, Angela Kritzer, and Josephine (Brian) Koren, her brother, Michael (Janelle) Marciano, brother-in-law, Paul Mooney, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 4:00 – 5:00 PM at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Fran’s life at 5:00 PM.
