Frances Marie Maroun's Obituary
Frances Marie Maroun, 84, passed away in the arms of her Savior, January 18, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse and was a resident of Liverpool for many years and a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Frances was formerly employed by Marine Midland Bank for many years and Kaufmann's Department Store. She remained very active during her retirement, assisting the Board of Elections at election time and volunteering at St. Joseph's Hospital in the gift shop.
She was predeceased by her parents, Rocco and Ethel (Calucci) DonVito, and her brother, Carl DonVito. Frances is survived by her sister, Phyllis (David) Kode and her brother, Louis (Clementine) DonVito; also nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services were held on Thursday, January 23, 2014. THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME handled local arrangements.
Frances had a great love of animals and cared deeply for her own pets and others. Donations may be made to the CNY SPCA, 5878 East Molloy Road, Syracuse, NY 13211.
