Frances R. Scuderi's Obituary
Frances R. (Cocco) Scuderi, 93, of Liverpool, passed away on Monday with her loving daughter by her side. Born in Syracuse, before her marriage in 1940, Frances had her own hair salon. In later years, she sewed draperies for the Mill End Shop and then worked for the Board of Elections. Frances was a member of St. Peter's Seniors Group. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph G. Scuderi in 1995 and her son, Frank Scuderi in 2005. Frances is survived by her daughter, Nina (John) Puopolo of Liverpool; 4 grandchildren, Dr. Karen (Steven) Puopolo-Melly of Newton, MA; Kathleen Cwenar of Nashua, NH; Kristine Puopolo of Brooklyn, NY and Dr. Steven (Kathryn) Puopolo of Stony Brook, NY; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gloria (Dick) Bodine of Alabama and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 10:00 AM in the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home and 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
