Francesca Cioffi's Obituary
Francesca (Gallo) Cioffi, 72, of Liverpool, passed away on Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Italy and relocated to the Syracuse area with her husband and children when she became a communicant of St. Peter's Church. She was a seamstress for 22 years at the Joseph Pietrafesa Company before retiring in 1991. Francesca was a devoted mother and had a passion for cooking, she repeatedly put the needs of others before her own. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Michael Cioffi; two children, Peter (Anna) Cioffi of Italy and Filomena Esposito of Liverpool; seven grandchildren and a sister, Madalenna Gallo of Naples, Italy. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse and 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM. Contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
