Francesco "Frank" P. Rachetta's Obituary
Francesco “Frank” P. Rachetta, 79, of Liverpool, loving father, adored Nonno, and cherished husband, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021 in the comfort of his home. He was born April 2, 1942 in Staletti, Italy to the late Paolo and Maria (Froio) Rachetta. Frank was a master barber by trade and was the owner of Frank’s Unisex Salon in Baldwinsville for over 50 years. Frank ‘s passions were soccer, cars, hunting, going to the casino and spending time with his loving family, especially his identical twin granddaughters.
Along with his parents, Frank is predeceased by his siblings, Angelina Mirarchi, Joseph Rachetta, and Antonio Rachetta.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sharon (Carocci) Rachetta; a daughter, Jacqueline “Jackie” (David) Rachetta-Schill; two beautiful granddaughters, Sophia Francesca and Gianna Maria Schill; his siblings, Antoinette Cerullo, Rosa Vatrano, Maria (Rosario) D’Ambrogio, Anna (Joseph) Ontano, Sam (Dora) Rachetta, and Concetta Calabretta and Gesa Tolone of Italy; along with many nieces and nephews.
Frank’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of CNY as well as his caretakers, Vicky Kramer, Melinda Taney, Carol Shadron, and Pina Nicoletti.
A funeral mass in celebration of Frank’s life will be held at 10 am on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Liverpool, NY. Family and friends may call on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 4 – 7 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Road) North Syracuse.
