Frank M. Aloi's Obituary
Frank M. Aloi, 92, of Liverpool, passed away Tuesday at Crouse Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on January 7, 1920 in Spadafora, Sicily and immigrated to the United States at the age of eleven months with his parents, Gaetano and Gaetana Aloi. Frank served in the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific. He retired from General Electric as a machinist after 42 years of service. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 64 happy years, Vangeline (Dancheva) Aloi and their children, Roberta (David) Morrell of Liverpool, Richard (Hilary) Aloi of Florida and Sandra (Victor) Shattuck of North Syracuse; granddaughters, Kristina Styers, Aria Aloi, Alexandra Deveney and Rachel Deveney; grandsons, Scott Morrell and Matthew Deveney; five great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Gabriella, Calvin, Xander and Ian; brothers, Joseph (Nancy) Aloi of Syracuse and Tony (Sally) Aloi of North Syracuse. Private services were held for Frank's family on October 26, 2012 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.
