Frank DePietro's Obituary
Frank DePietro, 92, of North Syracuse passed away peacefully at home Friday, April 12. He was born August 21, 1926 to John and Rose DePietro in East Syracuse. After graduating from East Syracuse High School in 1944, he briefly worked on the NY Central Railroad before going to work as a butcher at Leo's Big M for over 50 years, retiring in 1998.
Frank enjoyed being outside tending to his yard and garden. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and formerly a member of The American Italian Heritage Association and The Golden Agers.
Frank was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Rose (Catania) DePietro.
He is survived by his children John and Roseanne, both of North Syracuse.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m., followed by a funeral service in celebration of Frank’s life at 12:00 p.m. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
