Frank A. DeYulio's Obituary
Frank A. DeYulio, 87, of Lyncourt, passed away Thursday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, and graduated from St. John the Baptist Academy in 1947. He was a route driver for Onondaga Beverage, retiring after 21 years of service. He previously worked at Crouse Hinds for 23 years. Frank also was a musician for many years with his dance trio, The Gadabouts. He was a longtime communicant of St. Daniel’s Church and St. Cyrils in Alexandria Bay. Frank was an avid NY Yankees fan and enjoyed spending summers fishing and boating on the St. Lawrence River since 1989.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Ida (Petrella) DeYulio, his sister, Mary Caruso, and brother-in-law, Mike Del Vecchio.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Joan B. (Santuci) DeYulio; two daughters, Joan (John) Rogers and Frances (Otto) Alvarez; his son, Frankie (Betty) DeYulio; his granddaughter, Abby Rogers; sisters, Lucy Del Vecchio and Jennie Gillette; his brother, Anthony (Beverly) DeYulio, brother-in-law Peter Caruso, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Frank’s life at 9:00 AM in St. Daniel’s Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sisters of St. Francis Retirement Fund.
