Frank J. Lanza's Obituary
Frank J. Lanza, 68, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a brief battle with cancer on Saturday, January 4, 2025. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Frank N. and Ernestine F. (Marsello) Lanza. Frank graduated from Henninger High School and then BOCES Trade School.
He worked at Babbitt Bearings, Inc. and went on to become a self-employed contractor for many years. He was an avid antique classic car collector and enthusiast and was a long-standing member of the Classic Chevy Club.
Frank is survived by his wife, Marge (Horner) Lanza; his daughter, Katie Lanza; his son, Nicholas Lanza; two sisters, Elizabeth Lanza-Doyle (Mark) and Dorthea Lanza; and close friends, Joe and Teri.
Family and friends may call from 10 am – 12 pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY, followed by a funeral service in celebration of Frank’s life at 12:15 pm at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
