Frank N. Lanza's Obituary
Frank N. Lanza, 86, of Syracuse, passed away Friday at James Square Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on March 28, 1924. Frank served in the U.S. Army as a corporal in the South Pacific. Frank served as past president of St. Vincent's Holy Name Society and was a member of Our Lady of Pompei Holy name Society. He was a past president of the IAAC, a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 30, and a 50 year member of the Cement Masons Local 519. Frank was an avid sports enthusiast and and avid N.Y. Yankee Fan. He was an accomplished Ornamental Plasterer of the J.V. Sgroi Co., after 45 years of dedicated service he retired as a supervisor.
Frank is survived by his wife; Ernestine (Marsello) Lanza. Two Daughters: Elizabeth (Mark) Lanza-Doyle, Dorthea Lanza of Syracuse, a son Frank J. (Marge) Lanza also of Syracuse. Two Grandchildren Katie & Nicholas Lanza. Two Brothers Samuel (Grace) Lanza of East Syracuse, Anthony Lanza of Liverpool. A sister Mary Camino of Syracuse. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held on Tuesday 9:00 A.M. at the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home and at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vincent's DePaul Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Friends may call at the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 7 P.M. the Holy Name Society will recite its ritual at 3:30 P.M.
