Frank J. Malvasi Jr.'s Obituary
Frank J. Malvasi, Jr., 65, of Fayetteville, NY passed away peacefully at home with his family on Monday, April 16, 2018. Born in Syracuse, NY, son of the late Frank J. Malvasi, Sr. and Lucy (Zingaro) Malvasi. A truly devoted husband, father and grandfather, Frank worked in commercial construction with his brothers at Maxim Construction and also as a real estate broker for Berkshire Hathaway. He was a proud graduate of both Le Moyne College and Christian Brothers Academy. Ever dedicated to his community and his faith, Frank served on the board of directors at the Samaritan Center for several years and was a confirmation teacher and usher at Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville.
Frank loved people and was a selfless friend who would do anything for anyone at any time. Frank found his greatest pleasure in his family, most especially his children and grandchildren. His favorite leisure time activities included being outdoors, mowing his lawn, shopping at the Regional Market on Saturdays and, as all who had the good fortune to break bread with Frank will always remember, cooking.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Mary (Mufale), children Tina (Matthew) Moore, Dr. Anthony (Kristan), Nicholas, grandchildren Matthew and Elizabeth Moore; sisters, Anne Marie (Dr. Michael) Geiss, Linda (Senator John) DeFrancisco; brothers Michael (Vita) Malvasi, James (Theresa) Malvasi and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 21, 2018 in Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Friday, April 20, 2018 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Road (Corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
