Frank A. Settineri's Obituary
Frank A. Settineri, 94, of East Syracuse, passed away Wednesday with his loving family by his side. He was born in Rome, NY, and resided in East Syracuse for 52 years. Frank was a Staff Sergeant with the 333rd Rescue Outfit with the United States Army Air Force during WWII. He retired from Syracuse China following 43 years of service, also holding positions with the IBPW union. Frank was a communicant of St. Matthew’s church in East Syracuse. Frank found great joy in his family, grandchildren and his friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Francesca Settineri, his brother, Joseph Settineri, and sister, Mary Scripa.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Dora (Iacuone) Settineri; his children, Dianne Settineri of East Syracuse, Doretta (Lawrence) Royer of DeWitt, and Anita Settineri of East Syracuse; his grandchildren, Loryn and Linsay Royer of DeWitt; a brother, James (Jean) Settineri, his sisters, Nancy Storto and Frances Serrano, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 am on Saturday at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a funeral mass in celebration of Frank’s life at 9:00 am in St. Matthew’s Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
