Franklin J. Ludovico's Obituary
Franklin J. Ludovico, 82, of East Syracuse, passed away Sunday at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Vincent and Rose Ludovico. Franklin served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a Meat Manager at Acme Markets before retiring as a Meat Cutter with Schisa Brothers after 42 years of service. Franklin loved spending time with family and friends. His great sense of humor and gentle nature were loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his brothers, Leo, Walter, Mike and Vincent Ludovico and his sisters, Vita Donath and Louise Kankoski.
Franklin is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Phyllis (Ciaccio) Ludovico; his son, Michael (Donna) Ludovico; his daughter, Maria (Rocky) Pugliese; granddaughters, Lauren, Alexis and Regina Ann Ludovico; grandsons, Rocky, Brennon and Tonio Pugliese; two sisters, Claire Raymond and Helen Fodaro, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 am on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Franklin’s life at 9:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Syracuse. Burial with Military Honors will be in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
