Frederick J. Kirschenheiter II's Obituary
Frederick John Kirschenheiter II, 55, of Liverpool, NY, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on April 29, 2020 after a brief illness. Fred was a 1983 graduate of Chittenango High School. In 1987 he graduated from Union College with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. During his time there, he was a proud member of Alpha Delta Phi. He was employed by Blasland, Bouck and Lee, which later merged with Arcadis, for over 30 years, eventually achieving the status of Senior Vice President. He was most recently employed by Anchor QEA. Fred was a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and the NYS Society of Professional Engineers and was nationally recognized as an expert in his field.
Fred loved his work as an engineer and somehow always had an answer to everything. Fred loved his family and friends unconditionally. Anyone who knew him will attest that he was a genuinely kind, selfless and generous man. He loved taking care of his home, his family and anyone who needed help. Fred enjoyed music and was a drummer throughout high school and during adulthood (shout-out to Net Weight, Global Riff and The Moonpies). He was also an avid sports fan who loved the NY Giants and SU sports (football and basketball in particular). Fred will be remembered by his dance moves, his enthusiastic (but sometimes off-key) singing voice, his interest in aliens, his ability to make anyone laugh and his care and dedication to his family and friends.
Fred was predeceased by his father, Frederick J. Kirschenheiter in 1980; his step-father, Donald H. Barrett and his step-brother, Michael; his maternal grandparents, Leo J. Shinnock and Helen Morley; his paternal grandparents, Frederick P. Kirschenheiter and Helen Robelen Shepard; and his mother-in-law, Frances Hope.
