Gabriel Joseph Ramos, Jr.'s Obituary
Gabriel Joseph Ramos, Jr., 70, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home on December 11, 2021. He was born in Manhattan, NY, son of the late Gabriel and Luz (Riviera) Ramos. Gabriel served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves and was just shy of completing a bachelor’s degree at SU. He worked as a self-employed investigator. Gabriel was named distinguished Police Officer of the Year and recognized by the U.S. Canine Association. He was the Faculty Class Sponsor for William T. Dwyer High School Class of 1995. Gabriel coached Special Olympics and enjoyed scuba diving.
In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by his beloved pets: Lola, Peanut, Brandy, Macho, Bobby, Wednesday Lou Albano, KC, Misfit, and Nookie.
Gabriel is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Charlotte “CJ” Johnson-Ramos; his son, Gabriel Aaron Ramos; daughter, Mia Gabrielle Marcus; step-children: Laura, Angela, and Jeff Johnson; step-grandchildren: Hailey Schmidt, Justus Marcus, twins: Ashlynn and Bryce Marcus; a step great-granddaughter, Adeline Schmidt; a step-great-grandson, Christopher Alexander Lee Schmidt; his brother, Miguel Angel Ramos and sister-in-law, Grace Perez; niece, Margarita Luz Ramos; nephew, Miguelito Ramos, son-in-law, Russel Shane Marcus; his pets, Sammy “The Bull Samwa Wanda Samurai Pup-Pup” Ramos, and grand pup, Senator Monroe.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, from 10 am – 11 am at Abundant Life Christian Center, 7000 All Nations Blvd., East Syracuse, NY, followed by a funeral service in celebration of Gabriel’s life at 11 am.
