Gaetano L. Colozzi's Obituary
Gaetano L. Colozzi, 67, of Syracuse, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 28, 2018. He was born in Syracuse, NY, son of the late Louis G. and Victoria A. (Farnach) Colozzi. Guy was a 1969 graduate of Christian Brothers Academy, later graduating from University of Buffalo before earning his Law degree at Syracuse University. He was an attorney and practiced law for nearly 40 years. After retirement, Guy and his son entered into a joint venture as owners of two local Papa John franchises. He was an avid Syracuse sports fan and enjoyed watching other sports. Most of all, Guy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his beloved granddaughter Scarlett.
He was predeceased by his brother, Gary Baker.
Guy is survived by his daughter, Victoria A. Colozzi; his son, Gaetano L. Colozzi; step-daughter, Harmony (Scott) Dunfield; his granddaughter, Scarlett; his grandson, Ben; his former spouse, Judy Murray; three brothers, Allen Baker, Robert (Diane) Colozzi and Louis Colozzi; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of Gaetano’s life at 7:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
