Gary E. Crystal's Obituary
Gary Edward Crystal, 80, of Chittenango, passed away August 25, 2023, at The Grand Rehab Nursing Home in Chittenango, NY. He was born in Herkimer, NY, son of the late Michael and Veronica (Galowitz) Crystal. Gary graduated from Herkimer High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Education at Oneonta. He worked as a Sixth Grade Teacher for Central Square School District and was the CEO and Owner of Industrial Fabricating and Hourglass Abrasives and Coatings. Gary enjoyed Syracuse sports, cars, and boating. He especially loved spending time with family on the St. Lawrence River.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Leslie Susan (Brown) Crystal; four children, Amy (Kurt) Frenzel, Brett (Patricia) Crystal, Gregg (Sharon) Crystal and Alison (Brad) Patkochis; eight grandchildren, Alyssa, Trevor and Brianna Crystal, Kaitlyn Frenzel, Jacob and Lucas Crystal, Mason, and Zac Patkochis.
Private funeral services entrusted to THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME.
