Gelsomina "Jessie" Filomena (Mangino) Mingolelli's Obituary
Gelsomina “Jessie” Filomena (Mangino) Mingolelli, 95, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Emma Deberardinis and Luigi Mangino. Jessie was employed at Syracuse China and Key Bank for many years. She enjoyed dancing and music of all genres. Jessie was a lifetime NY Yankees fan and an avid football fan, and her love of family and friends outshined everything.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Norman Leonard Mingolelli, Sr. in 1979; brothers: Media and Tony Ciferni and Louie Mangino; sisters: Elizabeth Aiello, Mary Ciferni, Julie Baker, Jenny Ciferni, Edith Duca, and her beloved chihuahua Blondie.
Jessie is survived by her son, Norman L. Mingolelli, Jr.; her daughter, Mary Theresa (John) Costello; her daughter-in-law, Lynn Mingolelli; two grandchildren, Maria Rose Costello and Norman Mingolelli III; her grand dog, Zack Costello, grand cat, Daredevil Mingolelli and her BFF, Annie Costello.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of Jessie’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, September 27, 2021 at St. Margaret’s Church. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 1:00 – 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Per the family’s request, all attendees are asked to wear a facial covering.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN.
