Genevieve Cavale's Obituary
Genevieve (Krystosik) Cavale, 89, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at James Square Nursing Home. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Anthony and Aleksandra Krystosik. Genevieve was employed with Syracuse China and was also a self- employed beautician. She was an avid bowler and tennis player and enjoyed playing Bingo. Genevieve also enjoyed traveling and going to lunch with her friends.
She was predeceased by her parents and three siblings, Helen Krystosik, Rose Polech and Richard Krystosik.
Genevieve is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, James Cavale; her three children, Samuel (Sonny) Cavale of Syracuse; James A. Cavale, Jr. of Syracuse and JoAnne (Leon) Zurro of Clay; two grandchildren, James A. (Yazmin) Cavale III and Abigail Zurro; three great-grandchildren, Savannah, Sofia and James A. IV; a brother, Anthony (Mary) Krystosik of Texas, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Genevieve's family would like to thank the staff on 4 North at James Square for their care and compassion.
A funeral service in celebration of Genevieve’s life will be held on Saturday at 11:30 am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
