Genevieve E. "Betty" Fritz's Obituary
Genevieve E. (Betty) Fritz passed away on November 16, 2012 at Syracuse Home in Baldwinsville. She was born March 20, 1929, the first child of Edward and Gertrude Fritz, in Baltimore, MD. She lived in Arbutus, MD until 4 years ago, when she moved to Liverpool to be near her family. She was a graduate of Seton High School in Baltimore. Two days after her graduation, she began work as a bookkeeper for Northwestern National Insurance Co. and remained with them until her retirement. She had also been an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court 1630.
She was predeceased by her parents and is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Louis Ragonese of Liverpool and seven nieces and nephews, Edward (Anna) Ragonese and Daniel (Tammy) Ragonese of Baldwinsville; Anne (David) Minor of North Syracuse; Jeanne Ragonese of Heidelberg, Germany; Lisa (Gregory) Bailey of Fulton; Steven (Lyda) Ragonese of Liverpool and Thomas (Sarah) Ragonese of Bloomington, IN along with 16 grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Church, Liverpool at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Pine Plains Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Contributions in her memory may be made to either Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208 or Syracuse Home, 7740 Meigs Road, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
