Genevieve Phillips' Obituary
Genevieve J. (Butler) Phillips, 95, of Syracuse passed away on Thursday after a brief illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and loved horses. She previously worked for the A & P grocery chain and Kuhn's catering. She was the greatest at making hors-d'oeuvres and pies. She always had requests to make a raspberry or an apple pie.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Thomas Phillips in 1977.
Genevieve is survived by her daughter, Barbara Mangicaro; 2 sons, Thomas (Carole) Phillips and Frank (Lorraine) Phillips, both of Florida; brother, Alfred Butler, 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 8:00 AM in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY and 9:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM.
