Geni A. Benedetti's Obituary
Geni A. Benedetti, 87, of Liverpool, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Pino and Rose (Nicholli) Benedetti. Geni graduated from North High School and then enlisted in the US Army, serving from 1950 - 1952, during the Korean War. He worked as an electrician at General Electric, retiring after 44 years of service. Geni enjoyed cookouts with family and friends, and loved watching the NY Yankees, SU football and basketball games.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary (Andaloro) Benedetti in March, 2016; three sisters, Rosemarie Benedetti, Anna Vassallo, and Dora Barbuto.
Geni is survived by his loving son, Gene Benedetti of Cazenovia; Patricia Jacobs Benedetti, and their children, Mario and Antonio, along with many nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 AM on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Geni’s life at 11:00 AM in Christ the King Church, Bayberry.
Burial with military honors will be in Assumption Cemetery.
