Geordie H. Magee, Sr.'s Obituary
Geordie H. Magee, Sr., 87, of Brewerton, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Upstate University Hospital. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Charles and Georgina “INA” (Surgeoner) Magee.
Geordie is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen (Corcoran) Magee; his son, Geordie H. (Linda) Magee, Jr.; his daughter, Patricia (Christopher) Arnone; five granddaughters, Amanda (Brian) Carpenter, Kristie (Timothy) Ciampa, Megan Arnone, Katie Magee and Tess Arnone; one great-grandson, Owen Ciampa; two brothers, Charles Magee and John Magee; a sister, Sandra (Carl) Mathewson; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Geordie had a way to bring out the best in everyone he met, be it in shared memories, good advice or just a hard day’s work. Those who knew him know he enjoyed his work, was proud of his family and at the end of the day loved to go home to Helen.
His family would like to thank all the employees who worked very hard by his side either at Geordie Magee Canvas or Chaumont Yacht Club. Some took life lessons and those who took to the trade to become successful have been blessed.
