George C. Craig's Obituary
George C. “Bussey” Craig, 94, of Clay, NY, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024 at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse. He was born in Medford, MA, son of the late Alfred and Mary (Mosher) Craig. George was a U.S. Air Force veteran for over 20 years and spent most of his life as a Crew Chief Airplane Mechanic with the U.S. Air Force, before his retirement.
George was strong-willed and determined. This was evident throughout his career in the Airforce as well as his post-retirement employments at Syracuse Supply and Miller Brewing Company. His mechanical proficiency was exemplary. After retirement he loved traveling with his wife and their animals in their motor home to visit family throughout the East Coast. Although he enjoyed many interests, spending time with his family was his greatest joy.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Marion Jean Craig in 2020, and 11 siblings.
George is survived by his daughter, Pamela (Terry) MacNabb of Central Square; his son, Alfred Craig of Clay; five grandchildren, Nathan MacNabb (Savanna), Zachary MacNabb (Julia), Sara (John) Graham, Joshua (Kelly) MacNabb and Elizabeth (Andrew) MacWilliams; five great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
