George W. Isbell's Obituary
George W. Isbell, 76, of Mattydale, passed away Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late George R. and Dorothy (Brown) Isbell. George was a graduate of Assumption High School and was also a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church and an early active member of NAVAC. George retired from Chrysler after 30 years of service as a Journeyman Machine Repairman.
George is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Marianne (Conte) Isbell; his three beloved children, Dorothy (Timothy) Farrell of Ogdensburg, NY; David (Christine) Isbell of Liverpool and Judith (Gerard) Paules of North Syracuse; seven cherished grandchildren, Dr. Katherine Farrell, Jennifer Isbell, Alyssa Farrell, Emily Isbell, Lauren Hess, Matthew Isbell and Anna Hess along with several cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am in St. Margaret's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Margaret's Church, 203 Roxboro Road, Mattydale, NY 13211.
