George A. Wickert's Obituary
George A. Wickert, 84, of Cicero, passed away December 19, 2025 at Upstate Hospital.
He was born in Kirtland, Ohio, son of the late Millard and Ruth (Hulsizer) Wickert.
George was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, retiring after many dedicated years. He was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. George enjoyed woodworking, bike riding, puzzle building and storytelling. He was wholeheartedly devoted to caring for his late wife, Linda, who passed earlier this year.
George is survived by his children, Colleen Wickert (JoAnn Billy), Kevin Wickert (Amy Wickert) and Carrie Beckwith (Rick Crockett); his grandchildren, Joshua Wickert (Lyndsi), Stephanie Cranfill (Rachel). Zachary Beckwith (Lauren), and Jacob Beckwith; great-grandchildren, Emily and Zoey Wickert, Atlee, Liam, George and Lincoln Cranfill, Ellie and Walker Beckwith; his sister, June (Edward) Hugus; his nephews, Charles and Aaron Hugus, his friends, Cal Clark, Bob Crabtree, Carolyn and Jack Chaney.

A private graveside service will be held in Pine Plains Cemetery.
