George W. Wise's Obituary
George W. Wise, 85, of Elbridge, NY, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at Upstate University Hospital Community Campus. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Maynard and Glades Wise. George was a truck driver for Boston Buffalo for over 45 years. He enjoyed playing cards and was an avid hunter.
He was predeceased by his wife, Alice Busch in 2000; his siblings, Gerald Wise, Yvonne Wise, Louise Kelly, Fredrick Wise, Januita Selover, and Arlene Barrow.
George is survived by his children, Robert L. (Nancy) Wise of Oswego and Bruce A. (Robin) Wise of Hannibal; his longtime companion, Donna Wise; 7 grandchildren, Stacey Wise, Shauna Wise, Bruce Wise, Jr., Melissa Wise, Donna Wise, Robert Wise, and Tracey Palmory; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 siblings, Jeanette Babcock of Homer and John (Mary Anne) Wise of Syracuse, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Assumption Cemetery, 2401 Court St., Syracuse, NY. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME.
