Gerald P. "Jerry" Baker's Obituary
Gerald P. “Jerry” Baker, 73, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Friday surrounded by his loving family. Jerry was born in Syracuse, NY, son of the late Irving and Anna (Schultz) Baker. He was employed for several years with Monarch Liquor Company and later retired from Colony Liquors. Jerry was a dedicated SU sports fan and enjoyed playing cards with his Friday night card club. He loved traveling, especially to Myrtle Beach, SC, Florida, and Ocean City, MD.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Laureen (Carni) Baker; his children, Sheryl (Darryl) Adsitt, Christopher (Melissa) Baker, Danielle (Jeffrey) Murray; grandchildren, Brandon Sabel, Kaitlynn Adsitt, Joseph Murray, Christopher Baker, Paige Baker, Nathan Murray; three great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Tom) Laun; brother, Richard (Joyce) Baker; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Jerry’s life at 12:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 425 Beechwood Ave., Liverpool. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jerry’s memory may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Food Pantry.
