Giovanna (Miano) Brancato's Obituary
Giovanna (Miano) Brancato, 74, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Fadarechi, Sicily, daughter of the late Antonio and Carmela (Saglimbene) Miano. Giovanna worked at Learbury for 24 years and the Ramada Inn for 11 years. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband, Cosimo Brancato in 2010; two brothers, Egidio Miano and Martino Miano; a sister-in-law, Giovanna Pagano Brancato.
Giovanna is survived by three children, Patrizia Brancato, Joseph (Stephanie) Brancato and Adriana Brancato; three grandchildren, Veronica, Nicholas, and Isabella Brancato; siblings, Lina (Sebastiano) Miano, Concetto (Nunzia) Miano and Rosanna Miano; a sister-in-law, Rita Muscolino, of Sicily; two brothers-in-law, Santo Brancato of Liverpool and Aritillo (Sarina) Brancato of Sicily; along with many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A Funeral service in celebration of Giovanna’s life will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
