Giuseppe "Joseph" Chisari's Obituary
Giuseppe "Joseph" Chisari, 66, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Joseph was born in Castiglione, di Sicilia. He married Linda in 1968 and moved to Syracuse. Joseph was a retiree of Cooper Industries where he worked for 43 years. In addition, he was a realtor for many years with Kirnan Real Estate as well as a real estate investor. Joseph was a true pioneer of the "American Dream". His enthusiasm for life was infectious. He loved his family and was a great father, husband, uncle and great friend to all that knew him and loved him. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Linda (Spuches) Chisari; his children, Maria (Chisari) and Stuart Herrick and Salvatore and Nicole (Pontello) Chisari; grandchildren, Gianna Chisari, Joseph Chisari and Gabriele Chisari along with many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
