Gladys A. (Sakran) Cavallo's Obituary
Gladys A. (Sakran) Cavallo, 93, formerly of East Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully on July 29, 2020 at Upstate Community Hospital.
She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (Metri) Sakran. Gladys worked at Syracuse Supply, and then, for many years at Don Elliot’s Fuel Service. Her favorite hobby was ballroom dancing; she participated in exhibitions and taught classes well into her 80’s!
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Cavallo; siblings, John Sakran, Rita Michaels, Helen Michaels, Harvey Sakran, Lorese Brilbeck, Willian Sakran, and Eleanor Ibraham.
Gladys is survived by her daughter, Shirley Breed (Don) of Wagoner, OK; two sons, Joe Cavallo (Danielle) of Syracuse, NY and Tom Cavallo (Dolores) of Liverpool, NY; three grandsons, Todd Cavallo (Crystal) of NY, Phil Cavallo of Los Angeles, CA, and Craig Cavallo (Jennifer) of NY; two granddaughters, Christine Rusk (Bruce) and Renee Breed of OK; three great-granddaughters, Gabrielle Roberts and Kathryn Roberts, both of OK and Luca Cavallo of NY; a brother, Fred Sakran (Kay) of Syracuse, NY; sisters-in-law, Edyth Sakran of Syracuse and Barbara Shearwood of Liverpool, NY, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
A special thank you to the staff at Buckley Landing in Liverpool, NY for taking such good care of “Gladdy” for the last nine years.
