Gloria A. (Speach) Cardella's Obituary
Gloria A. (Speach) Cardella, 85, of Syracuse, born Christmas Day 1930, passed away peacefully on Friday September 30, 2016 at Francis House. She grew up in Eastwood graduating from Eastwood High School. Gloria was the daughter of the late N. Earl and Lucy (Desimone) Speach. She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, and her extended family. Gloria became partner with John Pavlovitz, husband of her close cousin, Ginny, in The Shoe World in Baldwinsville, NY. Subsequently, she worked for many years as court clerk for the Town of Lysander Magistrate Judge. Gloria enjoyed bird watching, gardening, reading and was very devoted to her faith.
Gloria is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Salvatore J. “Sal” Cardella; two sisters, Anita Speach and Jean Cosimano; and her two brothers, Francis and Gerald Speach.
Gloria is survived by her brother, Allen Speach; her three children, Thomas J. (Rhonda) Cardella of Hartland, WI., Anita M. Cardella of South Amboy, NJ and Lisa A. (Sarah) Cardella of Baldwinsville NY. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Karina, Marissa, Alaina, Trevor and Alexandra; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 9:00 A.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, and 10:00 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will be follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
